Central and Western Australia
An iconic destination for the 4wd adventurer
Call Global 4wd today and book your next outback holiday
This is an expedition that should be undertaken by every four-wheel driver or outback traveller at least once in every lifetime or more often if they enjoy the beauty of the real outback.
On these expeditions we cross several deserts enjoying isolation and tranquillity that the vast centre has in abundance. These include
- The Great Victoria,
- The Great Sandy
- Gibson Desert
We shall see very few or no other travellers driving many of the Len Beadell Hwy`s like the famous Gunbarrel Hwy, Ann Beadell Hwy, Connie Sue Hwy, Eagle Hwy, Heather Hwy, Gary Hwy and the Mt Davis road through the APY Lands.
All these highways were built back in the 50`s and these days they are no more than a goat track making it an iconic destination for the 4wd adventurer.
Global 4wd have done many trips into this region and we will zig zag our journey travelling east to west or west to east or from north to south. You will be awestruck by the sheer size of each desert and the amount of nature to be observed there.
We often see thousands of hectares of wild flowers especially after the rainy season has passed but also, we shall see salt lakes that have no equal.
The sand changes colour as we cross it, so photographers are in their element not only at sunrise and sunset but also during daily travel. If you are into remote, isolated, adventurous 4wdrive travel this is the trip for you.
